The mobile application Spotter (the "App") is a web-monitoring tool designed to track changes on third-party websites. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal data is handled securely and transparently.

By using Spotter, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you are the parent or guardian of a minor, you agree to these Terms on their behalf and take full responsibility for their use of the Service. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or the relevant legal age in your jurisdiction).

To provide our monitoring and analysis services, we collect the following information:Account & Authentication: When you sign in via third-party identity providers, we collect basic profile information (such as email and name) to create and maintain your account.

User-Provided URLs: We collect and store the URLs you submit for monitoring to perform the requested service.

Scraped Content: We retrieve and process data from the URLs you provide (such as price, stock levels, or booking availability).

AI Analysis Data: To provide insights, we may process the text content of your scraped results through artificial intelligence models to generate summaries or alerts.

We engage various third-party companies to facilitate our Service. These providers have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your data. To protect our proprietary technology, we categorize these providers as follows:Cloud Infrastructure & Hosting: We use secure, industry-leading cloud database and hosting providers to store your account data, monitoring configurations, and encrypted credentials.

Web Retrieval & Proxy Services: To execute the web monitoring requests you initiate, we utilize specialized third-party web-retrieval infrastructure. These services receive the target URL but do not receive your personal identity.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Processing: We utilize third-party AI platforms to analyze and summarize the text content of your scraped results.

Analytics & Performance Monitoring: We use industry-standard tools to monitor app performance, track crashes, and analyze aggregate user behavior.

Authentication Services: We offer secure login options through major third-party identity providers.

We adhere to strict data minimization principles. Your data is stored only as long as necessary:Monitoring Tasks: Your monitoring configurations and task history are stored for as long as the task remains active in your account. If you delete a task, the associated history is removed from our active database.

Scraped Data (Pricing/Stock/Availability): Specific data points retrieved from websites (such as price history and stock status) are stored for a maximum period of 7 days, after which they are automatically purged.

Account Data: Your profile information is retained until you request the deletion of your account.

We use local storage and similar technologies to maintain your session and remember your app preferences. Third-party analytics providers may use cookies to track usage patterns. You can manage these via your device settings, though some features of the App may not function correctly if identifiers are disabled.

We employ commercially acceptable security measures to protect your Personal Information. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

This Service involves monitoring and linking to third-party websites. These external sites are not operated by us. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of those websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content or practices of any third-party sites.

If you wish to delete your account and associated information, you may do so through the following methods:In-App Deletion: You can initiate the account deletion process directly within the Spotter App. Navigate to Profile > Delete Account. Once confirmed, your account will be marked for deletion immediately.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account:
Upon processing your deletion request:

Personal Profile: Your name, email address, and authentication identifiers will be permanently removed from our active user database.

Monitoring Configurations: All URLs, custom tracking settings, and task configurations created by you will be deleted.

Scraped History: All historical data points (prices, stock status, etc.) associated with your tasks will be purged.

Please note that some residual data may remain in our secure encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being completely overwritten. We may also retain certain information if required by law or to prevent fraud.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
